Selinunte is the biggest Archaeological Park of Europe and offers to visitors the unique possibility of traveling back to the past across the Greek history of ancient Sicily. The imposing Doric Temples are plunged in an amazing landscape, where the blue sky joins the typical Mediterranean vegetation, stretching over the turquoise sea. The tour lasts 3 hours. After a rest for lunch (the typical "pane cunzato" bread is available) we will reach Segesta (about 45 minutes by car). Segesta was one of the cities founded by the Elymian people, according to the legend coming from ancient Troia. Here visitors can admire the best-preserved Greek temple of Sicily. A short walk (a bus shuttle is also available) will lead you on the Acropolis on the top of Mount Barbaro, where the ancient Greek theater still stands and is currently used for theatre performances. From there, you can enjoy a stunning view on the temple below and the marvelous landscape around it. The tour lasts 2 hours.
