If you come from Palermo

Usually tours don't take place after 10 am, so the best way to get to Catania in time is to take a bus or a train from Palermo to Catania at max 6 am. It takes 2h.40 to get there. The bus to Catania is a public bus, you can take it from Palermo bus station which is located beside the train station, cost €24,20 return ticket. You can purchase the ticket at the bus station, (PIAZZA CAIROLI, company SAIS), I would recommend you to get it in advance.

This is the timetable

http://www.saisautolinee.it/ricerca/orari.asp

The train company is www.trenitalia.com

If you want to do the trip on Sunday, you should get the bus at 8 am in order to be in CT at 10.40; on Monday you could take it at 6 am and be in CT at 8.40. If you leave from Palermo very early (around 5.30 am) you might be able to join other groups and pay a cheaper ticket for your tour.

If you want a private transfer from Palermo to Catania, this is also possible but the cost would be much more expensive (let us know!)
